Safari World is a must-visit attraction in Bangkok for those who are interested in feeding animals. It’s about an hour drive away from central Bangkok and it is highly recommended to save an entire day for this trip if you want to make the best out of it. Each ticket costs about $34 which includes the safari and marine park admission.
If you are interested to watch the tiger and lion feeding session during the safari bus ride, it is important to be punctual for the earliest bus ride as they only have one session in the morning. My family and I visited Safari World 2 years ago and we missed the opportunity which was a huge pity.
We went for the safari bus ride before visiting the park and the bus toured around the open space area where animals freely roam around. It was an unique experience as you get to view the animals when they are free in the open while you’re ‘in a cage’. You can also enjoy a private tour by driving in or getting a taxi.
It was a pity that we missed the Orang Utan Show as the timing has clashed with the Safari park feeding showtime. It is recommended to do some planning for the rest of the shows in order to complete everything before the closing time.
One of the biggest highlights of the day was to carry a baby tiger cub! It was a soft launch opening and only cost 100 baht (SGD 4). I think it was a really worthy price as it will definitely cost more with a similar experience. And honestly how often do you get to carry a baby cub like that! However, they were quite strict with the timing and each person only had about 30 seconds each to feed the cub while you snap some photos. It was quite hard to pose properly as the tiger might struggle a little and there was very limited time, but I’m not complaining. It was the best experience for that day.
You can also take photos with other animals like owl and orang utan at that spot.

The Elephant performance was the most memorable one as we were able to watch them paint in real life. You can even purchase the painting after the show for keepsake.
The feeding sessions were not so fantastic compared to the Khao Yai Zoo as there were additional charges for every area. Since we have already fed so many animals in Khao Yai, we decided to save some money since the zoo tickets were not cheap to begin with.
The tiger section was quite special as you get more up-close view of them through a transparent glass house. The glass was quite clouded and not very clear but it was still better than looking from outside the enclosure.
I highly recommend you to check out the giraffe section as you get very close proximity with them even if you don’t pay for the feeding. Just be careful of their dripping saliva though as it can be quite nasty if it gets on your clothes. They’re irresistibly adorable though!
