Amara Sanctuary Sentosa Review | Pet-friendly Staycation

I brought Kuro to Amara Sanctuary Sentosa for a pet staycation a couple months back and here’s my review on the overall experience!

We enjoyed the Pampered Paws package and stayed in the newly revamped Courtyard Suite, featuring a charming 1930s colonial-style design. The room was extremely spacious for my dog to run around. On top of that, there was a private outdoor lounge pool at the courtyard patio for humans to relax in (Dogs are not allowed inside). The bathroom was really spacious with dual sinks. At one point, I even had to keep him in there for a bit of training because he wouldn’t stop barking at the noises outside our room in the middle of the night.

The stay included a thoughtfully curated amenity box filled with premium treats and pet essentials such as wet wipes, poop bags, and even a cute squeaky toy. It felt like I was opening a box of present for him (and myself). If I knew about this earlier, I wouldn’t have packed any poop bags and wipes since they were already included.

Other stay amenities also include a large bed and 2 pet bowls for food and water.

The lush greenery around the hotel made it such a nice and relaxing spot to take him for walks. There were several peacocks around, so you might want to take note if your dog is a little more reactive towards wild animals.

You can choose to pamper your furkid with their indulgent high tea set for $42++. Personally, I find this a little too pricey and bougie especially since my dog usually only eats his meals twice a day, and he wasn’t really hungry for food in the afternoon. If you have a higher budget, you can even opt for the Family Pupnic picnic experience.

I think it’s amazing that breakfast is provided for your furkid too, and I get to pick from these 3 choices:
– The Bark Breakfast includes spinach and tomato frittata, English sausage, paw scone, and banana pancakes.
– The Ohayo Breakfast features a Japanese-inspired spread of tamagoyaki, saba shioyaki, salmon shiozake, pork and pumpkin onigiri, and miso soup.
– The Pawsh Breakfast includes spinach and tomato frittata, beef and broccoli casserole, and a salmon pawffle.Unfortunately, the Ohayo breakfast wasn’t available, so I chose the Pawsh breakfast for Kuro instead and he finished everything!

Honestly, Sentosa is such a great spot for a pup staycation, especially since you can bring them to the beach. But since the room was pretty pricey, I ended up spending most of my time inside to make the most of it. To each their own, I guess!

The rates for a courtyard suite with your pet is around $1000++, but if you prefer a more budget option, you can consider their Verandah Studio from $680++.
