ArtScience Museum | Future World: Where Art Meets Science

We’ve been looking to explore instagrammable places lately and after seeing Tiktokers making videos at this mesmerising gallery made up of 170,000 LED lights, it’s just impossible to miss going to this exhibition Future World: Where Art Meets Science located at ArtScience Museum.
This is also the first permanent gallery in the museum! Using a combination of art, science, technology and culture, you can immerse in the world of creative narratives – City in A GardenSanctuaryPark and Space.

This is a ticketed gallery which is priced at $16 per ticket, but you can get it cheaper if you sign up for Sands Rewards Member (free membership). Honestly I would think it is still worth $16 either way, especially if you like to take nice photos for the gram as there are tons of spots to take the perfect #ootd.

We were pretty amazed as there were already plenty of photo opportunities at the first area – Universe of Water Particles, where thousands of computer-generated water particles can be seen cascading down the virtual wall, with plentiful of colourful flowers blossoming right in front of your eyes.

They also have motion sensors and the rain will actually be modified when you step on the floor or go near to the wall. Be creative with the poses!

Using scientific data derived for the World Wildlife Foundation (WWF), 100 Years Sea Animation Diorama depicts what the world’s rising sea levels of 100 years would look like in a mere 10 minutes.

If I didn’t recall wrongly, every single exhibit was interactive in some way. Kids will really enjoy this museum too.
We were kinda thrilled when we saw the crayon colouring section at Sketch Aquarium. We actually spent more than an hour colouring sea creatures and vehicles/ buildings. After you have finished colouring, you can scan the paper and your artwork will be transferred onto a virtual aquarium on the wall and they will ‘swim’ around like real sea creatures.
I started off with really simple colouring techniques and after a few tries, I managed to create something more artistic by blending the colours together. It was a really fulfilling activity as I really enjoy Art in general!

The Crystal Universe was really amazing for photos. You can even scan the QR code to enter the website link to adjust the lighting and effects to your preference. The photo taken here simply cannot justify how beautiful the ambience was at the point of time.
Overall, it was one of the best museum experiences as I really enjoy interactive activities.
