I just went for Adventure HQ recently and here’s my take on it! *Photos are not in the best resolution as some are screenshot from videos
The whole experience lasted for 3 hours. It started with a group briefing (also the one and only aircon room in the whole space), and then we were led to the locker area where we can store our belongings. Try not to be late as it is like a guided tour where you’ll be split into different groups so that not everyone will be overcrowding at the same station. I’ll be rating the levels based on my own experience. I have a very active lifestyle so this may not be applicable to some.
Recommended fit:
On their website, they recommend t-shirt and long pants (covered shoes are compulsory), but I just came in my usual gymfit (sports bra and shorts) and it worked fine, plus it was REALLY stuffy and hot so I was so glad I didn’t wear leggings. But there might be some abrasions especially at the rock climbing area, so it depends whether you prefer small cuts on your legs or a risk of damaging your outfit.
Urban climb:
This was the iconic black buildings course where you have to climb to the top and swing down like “tarzan”, it was also one of the main obstacle I was really looking forward to as I’ve been seeing this in a lot of videos. They also have A LOT of rock climbing walls (24 of them?!) so if you’re into climbing, this area is super fun! But we didn’t have time to try every single one.
Difficulty: 3 to 5 /10 (I think it mainly comes from mental fear if you’re a little scared of heights, and some rock climbing walls are a little challenging)
Fun: 8/10
Ninja course:
If you’re competitive, you might love this challenge as you can time yourself on 2 different ninja courses. BUT I didn’t actually time because I didn’t take note hahahah. Some of the obstacles were a little tough, but we’re shocked when we saw some kids doing it so well. And we were just dumbfounded because we were actually considered sporty too HAHA. kids really have no fear, especially on monkey bars.
Difficulty:6 to 7/10 (Couldn’t complete about 2)
Fun: 9/10
Firemen slides:
I was lowkey a little scared of the slide because I was wearing shorts, so I was afraid of abrasion, but it was pretty alright. The slide is quite smooth so the speed was legit fast when I slide down.
Difficulty: 0/10
Fun: 7/10
Sky venture (high element):
This was comparatively a lot easier than the rest of the sections especially since there’s a harness involved. Personally I find this pretty alright and most of the time I was just queueing for my turn as there were a lot of people (and there’s only a limited number of people that can step on the platform)
Difficulty: 0/10
Fun: 5/10
Fossil labyrinth (artificial cave):
If you have claustrophobia then this isn’t for you.. we had to crawl through tight spaces and cave-like structure in the dark, you can also do it with light but I chose the hardest challenge 🙃 regretted a little halfway as my glutes were acting up
Difficulty: 10/10 (if you choose pitch black)
Fun: 1/10 (Not so fun for my old back/ glutes injury, and especially difficult if you’re tall, my guy friends felt that it was a challenge)
Cloud climb: missed this
Adventure Trail: missed this
