If you’ve seen these viral long and jumbo sushi on TikTok, yes I’ve tried it. And if you’re wondering if I preferred the length or size, read on to find out which is better.
For the Jumbo sushi omakase set, they will serve it in pairs – 1 jumbo size and 1 normal sushi size. I like how they do that to show the contrast, although I must say, the photo does NOT justify the difference as much as in real life.
If you’re really into Japanese cuisine and its quality, it’s inevitable that the bite-sized sushi will definitely taste much better as there is less rice in comparison to the sashimi. But if you’re not that particular, honestly, it was quite decent and fun to eat. The portions were really very huge and we couldn’t finish all the rice. So if you’re wondering if you’ll be full from this? Yes I think so..
Personally, I prefer the long sushi as there’s less rice in each piece. And somehow the sashimi seemed more premium in terms of quality.
Is this gimmicky or is it worth the price? I honestly feel that if you’re into quirky and funny things like this, it’s definitely worth paying for. The quality of the sushi was quite decent, although I’d think that you can get more premium standard for the same price elsewhere. So it depends on your priorities.
