Here’s my review on My Cozy Room’s Ultimate Pore Extraction Facial. They have always been my skin saviour for many years.
Ultimate Pore Extraction Facial
You might have already heard of the raving reviews of this highly acclaimed facial spa that has won several beauty awards in the industry. They are also known for being one of the “Best Extraction Facials in Singapore”.
While this treatment might possibly be confused with their previous Premium Pore Extraction Facial, the Ultimate version has a pampering aspect added to your full 22-step holistic experience, with full usage of BeKind— their in-house professional skincare range.
22-steps facial treatment
Unlike express facials, my face was treated to the utmost luxe and pampering treatment, starting with a soothing Guasha head and scalp massage. After makeup removal and double cleansing, my face was applied with a generous layer of BeKind Hydro Renewal Peel followed by a gentle exfoliation using an Ultrasonic Scrubber to remove impurities and dead skin cells from the skin, followed by a facial steaming.
In this signature treatment, a Pore Refine Solution Mask is also applied on my skin to soften any blackheads and whiteheads, which also makes it easier for extraction (how thoughtful).
The most crucial part of a facial is the Extraction procedure as it can cause a hit or miss to your final results. Because of the earlier preparation of the skin, the extraction process is known to be not as painful as some facial spas. Personally, I find that the pain level was quite tolerable (not totally painless as my face was really VERY clogged at that point of time)
After the extraction, my face was treated to a High-Frequency Treatment that helps to disinfect my skin and reduce enlarged pores, followed by an application of BeKind Hydra Soothing Toner to further soothe my skin and reduce inflammation.
The following step is one of my favourite. My face was cooled with a Coolight therapy with Collagen Gel that is iced over my skin to calm the redness and irritation caused by the extraction earlier on. This treatment is super shiok as you can feel the icy cool feeling on your skin. As if my skin wasn’t pampered enough, I was treated to another Lymphatic massage to detoxify my skin, followed by a rejuvenating Crystal Eye massage to lift my eye bags.
The next step is best time to take a nap – I was treated to a customised Premium Alginate Mask Treatment that detoxifies my skin. The mask moulds to my face contours, locking in moisture while allowing the good stuff to seep into my skin. Meanwhile, the therapist gave me a really good shoulder massage to release any tension caused by my baking and content job. But that wasn’t enough, as I also enjoyed the Hot Stone Massage.
Final Results
So if you’re thinking, 1 session only, can meh? This is the before and after result. As much as I love their facials, you should not rely solely on the treatments. The post-facial care is absolutely important. For best results, always complement your facial treatments with a proper skincare regime. As my skin was EXTREMELY sensitive, there were still some minor break outs a few weeks after the facial, but BeKind’s skincare products actually helped to keep my acne in control. (which will be shared in detail on another review!)
From the photo, you can tell that the acne bumps have significantly reduced after a month, and what’s left are mostly post inflammatory-acne scars that require a longer time to heal.
