Review | Warabimochi Kamakura opens 2nd outlet at Taste Orchard

I managed to get my hands on the super viral Warabimochi drinks as they have opened a new outlet at Taste Orchard – which was honestly great because I’m lazy to travel to Holland Village for it.

I’ve always been a fan of matcha drinks so when they had matcha drinks with mochi as toppings, I was like “omg I have to try it some day”.

I’ve only tried 2 drinks so far – Asakawa-en Matcha and Matcha Lemonade (which is one of their newest flavours) and I gave the other 2 drinks (Hojicha and Lemonade) to someone else! As a matcha lover, these two drinks are approved!!

Asakawa-en Matcha had a very rich matcha flavour but it was a little gelat towards the end. On the other hand, Matcha Lemonade was very refreshing and the grassy matcha flavour added a really nice touch to the citrusy lemon taste. If I were to revisit, I would definitely order their Matcha lemonade again just to have a more detailed taste as I only took a few sips that day.

I didn’t get to try this flavour but seeing that it has sparkling water in it, nah, I doubt I’d be a fan of it as I personally don’t like really gassy drinks (kombucha is probably the exception). But given that SG weather has been scorching hot lately, this would be a great thirst quencher for many.

Their warabimochi cannot go wrong – it was so chewy and delicious, but no joke I was almost coughing the powder out of my mouth when I was eating this cup.
