I’ve always been fascinated by snakes – there’s just something about their slithering movements and scaly bodies that captivates me. Zoos and farms are always at the top of my travel itinerary, so when I found out about a snake farm in Bangkok, I knew I couldn’t pass up the chance to visit. While Bangkok has many museums in the city, there aren’t many places that showcase animals, so I was really excited about this attraction.

There are 2 performances in a day:
Venom Extraction Show: 11am
Snake Handling Show: 2pm

With our packed schedule, we only managed to catch the first performance, where we watched professionals extract venom, it was a truly eye-opening experience.
Honestly, I wish we had stayed for the second show as well, since I saw that some visitors even got the chance to handle the snakes! You can also leave the compound and return again after lunch if you want to spend more time in the farm.

There are both outdoor and indoor enclosures showcasing various snake breeds, along with a separate gallery featuring informative and educational exhibits. I like how they have English translation provided for the foreigners as some of the other museums do not have this option.

Overall, it was a really insightful experience, though I was actually more interested in looking at the live snakes.
