Movie Review: Fast and Furious 6 (2013)

Fast and Furious 6 is one of the most anticipated 2013 movie releases.

Wouldn’t be the best movie in my list, but definitely some intense action that I would enjoy. Honestly, I don’t know much about cars but the cars look pretty amazing especially with all the stunts and racing. Surely a breathtaking scene that captured my attention. No spoilers because the story only had some twist here and there but wouldn’t make a huge difference to your expectations. I watched the movie for the sake of the cars anyway. And there were some humour in the movie which I appreciated a lot.

But honestly, I like Fast and Furious 5 a lot better. That’s just my opinion.

Here’s a synopsis for you:

“Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson lead the returning cast of all-stars as the global blockbuster franchise built on speed races to its next continent in “Fast & Furious 6.” Reuniting for their most high-stakes adventure yet, fan favorites Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Gal Gadot, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges and Elsa Pataky are joined by badass series newcomers Luke Evans and Gina Carano.

Since Dom (Diesel) and Brian’s (Walker) Rio heist toppled a kingpin’s empire and left their crew with $100 million, our heroes have scattered across the globe. But their inability to return home and living forever on the lam have left their lives incomplete.

Meanwhile, Hobbs (Johnson) has been tracking an organization of lethally skilled mercenary drivers across 12 countries, whose mastermind (Evans) is aided by a ruthless second-in-command revealed to be the love Dom thought was dead, Letty (Rodriguez). The only way to stop the criminal outfit is to outmatch them at street level, so Hobbs asks Dom to assemble his elite team in London. Payment? Full pardons for all of them so they can return home and make their families whole again.

Building on the worldwide blockbuster success of Fast Five and taking the action, stunts and narrative to even greater heights, “Fast & Furious 6″ sees director Justin Lin back behind the camera for the fourth time. He is supported by longtime producers Neal H. Moritz and Vin Diesel, who welcome producer Clayton Townsend back to the series.”

There is one scene which I really love. Watch and you’ll probably guess which one I’m referring to. And nope, it’s not this picture above. Something way cooler. Actually, the intense movie plot seems more exciting at the back of the movie. But somehow Fast and Furious 5 had focused more on cars. That’s how I feel about the movie. I loved the part in Fast 5 where each and every character has shown their key role in the team and how they work together so effectively. Not that Fast 6 is lacking it, but Fast 5 did show it more obviously.

Just my brief comparison on first impression. But it’s still worth watching of course!!! After all, the story plot was still great and I have always loved watching action-pack movies. Now it’s action PLUS super cool cars super cool cars WITH AEROPLANE AND ARMY TANK.
