Because of the COVID19 and panic buying situation, you might be one of those who turn to alternative groceries delivery websites. Just like my family and I, we turned to EAmart as it has delivery slots, as well as great discounts as a referral or first-timer.
When it’s being promoted by big publications like The Straits Times, Asia One, Seth Lui Blogger, The Smart Local, etc… You can’t sniff a single bit of suspicion about the company especially when there are no negative reviews on the Internet. They also did a really good job by hiding negative posts & comments (without a proper review tab) on their FB page.
“Must be trusted la!” Or so I thought.. And my mum thought that we managed to pick out a great deal because of the extra savings from the discounts. Hey, you wouldn’t think so much when the brand has 0 seen negative reviews & had been recommended by trusted publications right?
But there were actually many who said that they were scammed!
BEFORE YOU THINK THAT THIS IS JUST MY PERSONAL OPINION, CONTINUE TO READ ON FOR MORE JUICY SCREENSHOTS THAT THEY HAVE DELETED PREVIOUSLY (Dated way before COVID-19 even started) *Unsure why they have all resurfaced again when I check every few hours
So don’t flame me for being not understanding enough about the overload situation 😉
Also, I’m only stating facts of the story!
Our side of the story:
We placed an order on 25 March and 28 March separately using our separate individual email accounts to enjoy the referral discount. The first delivery was supposed to be done on 4 April 8-10pm. We waited and waited.. and waited till the next day, there wasn’t any news at all. ZERO updates. Customer service call is always ringing with no one picking up. So I DM them on Facebook and ask them why is my order not sent yet.
5 April (10:24am) : EA Mart finally replied me “We apologise for inconvenience caused. Please do allow us to check with Operation Team.” and then they stopped replying.
At this point of time, although it was frustrating, we’re still giving them excuses, “Perhaps it was due to the Circuit Breaker? Maybe they cannot cope with the overload..”
5 April (6pm): EA Mart replied: “Sincerely apologise as late get back to you as per checked earlier on warehouse unable to locate the said order. we might need to re-order then can arrange redeliver. do you mind to wait if not we can cancel the order and refund.
I asked to check when the delivery will be made, they said that they would update me the next day. I chased them for a reply at 3+ pm the next day and there were no updates. By 4+pm, I couldn’t wait anymore as I happened to see more bad reviews surfacing up on their FB, so I asked for an immediate refund.
6 April (4:52pm): EA Mart: “Noted sorry for it will process the refund”
“Process now, refund back to card will take 5-7 days for the amount to be refunded back will share the refund details once done. Just to double confirm cancel for both order given above?
(Email notification was received with the refund details given)

We’re currently waiting for 5-7 days of processing time to see if they really did a refund. But this morning, I stalked their Facebook a little and to my horror, there were so many negatives reviews that were not seen before. I don’t know why, perhaps Facebook rejected their request to delete authentic reviews? Anyway, it just shows that it’s fated to expose this company who have affected so many past customers.
For anyone who thinks it’s acceptable because of the COVID19 situation, no it’s not.
– They did not give proper updates and just MIA for the delivery
– Although they did provide a said refund, there were others who did not receive the refund and even made a police report
– Some of the negative reviews were dated way before the virus even started!
Anyway, I’ll leave the screenshots at the end of this post because there are just too many!
Please share this post with your friends and family so that this won’t happen to them! The process is super frustrating! And I’m not sure if the affected customers have all received their refund. I’m currently still waiting for mine.
