I’m sure many of you have heard by now.. Eric Chien has been crowned the Winner of Asia’s Got Talent Season 3 last night!
In last week’s Grand Final show, Eric Chien competed against 8 other talented Finalists – hip hop and street dance 16-member crew JUNIOR GOOD VIBES from the Philippines, Taiwanese dance crew MANIAC Family, the feminine yet strong hijab-clad girl group NAMA from Malaysia, contemporary acrobatic dance duo Power Duo from the Philippines, nimble-fingered shadow play master Shadow Ace from the Philippines, powerful and groovy singer Siti Saniyah from Indonesia, human calculator YAASHWIN SARAWANAN from Malaysia and gravity-defying Cyr Wheel performer YANG SHIH HAO from Taiwan.
Eric Chien stood above the rest of his competition with his stunning and unique performances. His winning title is truly well deserved especially with his final performance that took everyone’s breath away.

Eric Chien was already sensational online last year after he performed at The Fism Grand Prix, where he also attained championship with his close up magic using only ribbons, coins and cards. The video also went viral after as his magic tricks have left many including myself, dumbfounded.
His grand final trick with the Rubix Cube and Chocolates was also equally mind-blowing. I’ve watched several magic shows in the states before, and none as impressive as this.
“Asia’s Got Talent has really been an important platform that allowed me to showcase my magic to the world. Given the stiff competition, I didn’t see this win coming. It’s a humbling experience. I would like to thank all acts of Season 3 that have come together to show the world the talents we have in Asia,” said Eric Chien, winner of Asia’s Got Talent Season 3. “As the first Taiwanese act to come out top, I really hope I’ve made everyone back at home proud and inspired more magicians to come forward.” Eric Chien
Congratulations Eric Chien!
Here’s a video of his final performance:
Runner up Yaashwin Sarawanan also had an amazing performance with his crazy mathematical skills and memory. This probably requires more talent than practice, which not everyone is able to easily achieve.
It was a really great experience being able to watch the results show live and also the star judges’ (David Foster, Anggun and Jay Park) stunning performances. Thank you AXN Asia & Ninemer PR for the opportunity.
