Chock Full of Beans // Minions Latte Art

I finally get a chance to dine at Chock Full of Beans!!!

I have been waiting for a very long time and I keep getting envious of seeing friends post pictures of the latte art on Fb/ Instagram. Now it’s my turn to do so!

I even planned ahead of what latte art I want the day before! (You can tell how excited I was)

The ambience of the cafe was not bad, but the indoor seats were limited and all were taken, so we had to sit outdoors. Thankfully, the weather was great and I had no issues dining outside at late afternoon about 3pm.

Chock Full of Beans specialty is no other than the latte art!!! That’s the only reason why I travelled all the way to taste and appreciate it.

Hazelnut Latte (Large) – $6.00

I topped up $3 since I ordered a combo set.

I just can’t stop raving about the really cute MINIONS latte art! It’s too cute and so alike! I was just hoping that they could have drawn the one-eyed minion which is my favourite.

Just take a look at it,

I just couldn’t bear to stir the creamy foam away and destroy such a beautiful picture.

However, the taste of the hazelnut latte was very average. I couldn’t taste the hazelnut at all and I felt that I was drinking a cup of normal latte. I couldn’t care less though, since I was very obsessed with the latte art itself.

The caramelized biscuit was just a perfect complement to my hot cup of coffee though.

Here’s some other latte art from Chock Full of Beans!

Soup of the day – Bacon and Potato soup

(Included in combo set)

I took a few mouths of the soap and it tastes so sinful! Very thick and creamy potato taste. But I love the soup, it was super yummy and something that I have never tried before.

Eggs Atlantic – $14.90

Poached eggs/ Smoked Salmon/ Hollandaise/ Homemade toast/ Parsley

My order was a complete healthy breakfast like what boyf said. I ordered this set really just because of the poached eggs. They look so tempting on photos that I have searched online and I just love half-boiled eggs. A runny yolk with hardening edge makes the dish really flavourful and yummy.

Smoked Salmon was quite savoury and the combination of the bread, salmon and eggs was delicious. However, I didn’t really like the wholemeal bread, but I’ve got to admit that it’s a really healthy meal.

Linguine Pesto with Chicken – $14.90

Chicken/ Pesto/ Cherry Tomato/ Garlic/ Parmesan

Boyf isn’t a great fan of pesto, but I am! I think that the pesto toppings may be a little too much for non-pesto lovers. It’s a great dish to order for myself next time!

Here’s a snapshot of the Chock Full of Beans menu

(Tuesday to Friday LUNCH 1100 – 1500 hrs)

I found a brunch menu that has waffles and I really want to try it some day!

I can’t believe boyf took a selfie and it looks not bad with the photo angles HAHA!

And a photo of us!

Happy girl at the end of the day as I finally get to try out Chock Full of Beans!
