Duramisu Review | Durian Tiramisu and Pistachio Cakes

I’ve tried several other Durian desserts like Durian swiss roll, cheesecakes, macarons, crepe and more; but there’s not one like Duramisu that got me insanely hooked onto.

Tiramisu is a iconic Italian delicacy that many people enjoy. The thick mascarpone cheese layers and ladyfingers soaked with rich and good espresso make it an enjoyable dessert experience with its light and refreshing flavours.

Instead of the classic coffee version, here’s a local twist on the famous Italian Tiramisu created by Duramisu! With their brand name created from their best-selling signature Tiramisu, this local delight is no other than the Durian Tiramisu!

I caught a whiff of durian fragrance while opening the box for a peek, and I could hardly contain my excitement. I’m not even kidding when I say that this is one of my most favourite Durian pastries ever, and the best tiramisu I have ever tasted.

The Durian tiramisu was packed with rich flavours from REAL durian pulp, yet it was really light and refreshing for my palate. You can be assured that they do not skimp on quality.

It’s a truly wholesome tasting experience. If you don’t have a sweet tooth, you’ll be glad to know that their desserts are not too sweet. With the cakes being caffeine-free and non-alcoholic, these tiramisu would be perfect for kids or those who are intolerant to caffeine/ alcohol.

Of course, durian flavours are not for everyone. Another highly recommended flavour is the Biscoff Tiramisu that we’re quite obsessed with after taking just one bite. Covered with a generous amount of crushed Lotus cookies, there’s an optimal balance of sweetness and creaminess that melts in your mouth.

Biscoff-styled desserts tend to have a very rich flavour, but this was surprisingly not too cloying. And we love that the Biscoff crumbs added an extra crunch to the creamy texture.

The Matcha Tiramisu was a little too intense for our liking but if you are a hardcore fan of bittersweet Matcha flavours, then you might actually enjoy it.

If you are not a fan of Tiramisu, Duramisu has also recently launched their Pistachio cake. With a hint of pistachio flavour, this moist and fluffy cake is a delightful treat to be enjoyed during tea break. The cream cheese is really light and enjoyable. Pair it with a hearty cuppa coffee and your afternoon is perfect!

The owner even gave me some complimentary chocolate cookies which were really delicious too! This is currently not in the menu though.

Duramisu is the ultimate dessert choice for the modern sweet tooth with its top-notch quality. You definitely won’t regret it!
