Next up, OBOLO is one of my favourite dessert and pastries cafe, which happens to sell my favourite macarons!

In case you didn’t know, the “O” means “The” & “bolo” means “cake” in Portuguese!
Whenever I walk past Obolo, I never fail to turn my head and look at the colourful macarons placed nicely like a rainbow on the shelf.
My favourite is the Milk Chocolate Macadamia, it really contains nuts inside the macaron and it complements perfectly. Some other nice flavours include Bittersweet chocolate, Champagne, Hazelnut chocolate, Pistachio and a lot more!
It makes me crave for more each time. And you will sure be spoilt for choice!

As much as I wanted to, I didn’t order any macarons that day as I was already entitled to a free piece of cake as I’ve joined their mailing list. It was a promotion sent to my email. I picked Noisette – No.1 at Obolo
The manager told me that it’s dark chocolate with traces of hazelnut. It lookes a little plain and boring but the taste is sure to make you come back for more. I was expecting the cake to be overly sweet for my taste buds but the dark chocolate really tasted like dark chocolate, not too sweet nor bitter. I could crunch on the little bits of the nuts and this balanced out the mousse and soft texture of the cake. Toothsome!This was much nicer than the one I had on my birthday.
My parents bought me a whole cake from Obolo and I will be talking about that in my later posts!
