Kuro is already 9 months old now! He’s getting really sociable and always looking for other doggos to play with. My parents’ neighbour recommended a daycare at the East area called Breakfast at Fluffy’s (also known as BFF hotel). After checking out the awesome reviews, I decided to bring Kuro there to experience it too! They also offer other services such as boarding and grooming services for dogs. He’s usually accompanied by someone at home, but I’ve been cafe-hopping around to complete work so I thought it would be perfect to drop him off on certain days when I have a car.
Just outside the boutique, there are limited parallel parking available. But if there’s no space, there is gantry parking beside Scanteak which has more lots (few minutes walk).
It’s hard to miss out their store front which is fully painted in Tiffany blue shade. I almost thought that I was stepping into a legit hotel for humans.
Prior to my visit, I enquired about their daycare services and they were very prompt and friendly in their replies! You will need to provide documentation of your dog’s last vaccination records and also proof of tick/ flea prevention. For Kuro, I feed Wildly Bug off supplements and flea & tick spray from From Furry Friends, which they accepted.
The boutique exudes a luxurious vibe with Victorian styled sofas for the hoomans and doggos! The marbled flooring, hanging chandelier and brick wall adds to the overall ambience and the dogs must be having paw-fect staycation, because indeed they are all looking happy and satisfied!
For kuro’s size and breed, he is counted as a small dog and it costs $20/ 3 hours, and every additional hour is $8.
I had to sign an indemnity form to register for the first time, meanwhile Kuro is slowly introduced to the group for an assessment to see how he behaves with other dogs around. While he was generally a little shy at the start, he was quite accepting towards new dogs, in fact pretty curious too. But he whined occasionally as he was separated from me. It took him some time to be adjusted to the environment and when he became distracted with other dogs, they told me that I can leave.
In between, they sent me occasional updates of Kuro playing with other dogs to provide assurance. I picked him after 4 hours and he was super excited to see me – whining and shaking butt.
I might go back again when the COVID19 situation is better as the experience was pretty good! I think Kuro had the same sentiments as he whined to go back in after being assured that I am not abandoning him.
