Let’s just admit it, we’re getting lazy to a point whereby shopping at retail stores seem like a chore on certain days. Yes, I’m guilty of this too! I proudly announce that at least 80% of my household and apparel stuff are purchased from online shopping apps. Why? Because it’s getting too convenient, and with all the flash deals, vouchers and promotions popping out on your screen, I find it rather impossible to steer myself away from these temptations.
And Shopee is one of them!
How to use Shopee?
Shopee is free to download on Google Play or App Store, alternatively, you can also access Shopee via your laptop’s website browser. If you’re a first timer, simply sign up using Facebook, Google or Phone.
From fashion apparels, food, video games to even mobile gadgets, pet supplies, home appliances and more, Shopee has almost everything that we need in our daily lives. Since everything is nicely categorised and searchable with keywords, it makes shopping a lot more efficient and fuss-free. And there is NO agent fee too!
Another unique point is the Shopee Guarantee that safeguards users by withholding the payment to Sellers until the Buyers confirm receipt of the order. This is extremely helpful in preventing scams and frauds.
On top of that, Shopee hosts official brands and top sellers on Shopee Mall, and these sellers can be identified from the label “Mall” on both the seller’s profile and product pages. This puts consumers, and especially new buyers at ease.
Apart from the Shopee Mall, you can also shop at their marketplace which consists of overseas merchants (from China Marketplace, K-Mart, Japan Plaza) and even local SMEs too! The waiting time to receive the products is considered quite short as compared to some online shopping platforms! My Shopping Experience
In preparation of moving in to my new place, I sourced for Home & Living products from Shopee.
I actually place a higher priority of ‘dressing’ my house as compared to dressing myself, and it results in me overbuying household decor and products at times. Yes I’m completely guilty of that.
Before I move on to my shopping list, I usually take a look at the Flash Deals section as I might be lucky enough to find something I like at a really good price!
Korean Cute Kitten Plush Slippers ($10)
I can’t stop emphasising just how adorable these Pusheen bedroom slippers are!! They are really soft on the base so it feels like I’m stepping on a soft pillow. One downside is that the cutting is too small – I’m actually a size 36, but even a size 38 seems too small. I prefer a size 39 or even 40 as these comfy bedroom slippers should be oversized for better comfort. Other than that, I really love its cute design, especially the bouncy tail at the back!
My husband commented that I have too many mirrors in the dressing room, but I have them for a reason! Even with a dressing table mirror, I still need a desktop mirror for doing my makeup (especially for eyeliner), and also to check my back view. The 8″ size is perfect for me. And I love that the design is very basic and simple, which matches my pink/ white floral dressing room!
Soft Artificial Sheepskin Rug Chair Cover – White ($8.55)
I already have one artificial sheepskin rug (in a different design), but it doesn’t hurt to have another one right? The artificial sheepskin rug is a statement piece for any dressing room. Some rugs like these can cost $20 or more in retail shops, it’s a steal to get it below $10!
Laptop Table – Cute Pink ($13.90)
This foldable laptop table is really useful for me as I can do my blogging in the room while my hub is playing his game. I used to place the laptop on my lap but it can get really hot. Having this table really makes things a lot easier! And I really love the pastel pink hues!
Cotton Floor Mat Bedroom Carpet ($25.19)
I was looking for a carpet of a specific size to place our Fiido bike on top so that it doesn’t continue to stain our vinyl floor. The searchable function of Shopee makes it really easy to find the item that we want after a few searches. Glad to find a grey carpet that fits this corner!

My drawers are really disorganised when I just moved into our new house. This container helps to organise our socks and undergarments neatly, without having our things all over the place.
120 x 60cm Portable Foldable Aluminium Table – Silver ($26.90)
This foldable table came in time for my housewarming party last week! The table is light and easy to handle, which makes it great for outdoor use as well. The table legs are extendable if you prefer a taller height. Although the table is slightly shaky, it works decently and the price is quite competitive compared to other foldable tables. If you really prefer the more sturdy tables, they offer the heavy duty selections.
Once you fold the table, you can carry it around with the attached handle, making it easy to bring around, and not forgetting the slim packaging that makes it easier for storage too.
Besides shopping for household items, I occasionally shop on Shopee for other reasons as it’s such a convenient and user-friendly platform. Often, I find myself scrolling the pages under the category of women’s fashion as the clothes are relatively affordable!
