I have been wanting to visit Khao Yai for the longest time ever since I’ve seen those beautiful instagrammable places on Google! This fairytale-like castle called My Ozone Khao Yai, actually caught my first attention and it was one place that I really wanted to go so badly. Initially, we considered staying at Thames Valley Hotel as it was nearer to the rest of the attractions. But after some discussion with my family, we decided to stay at My Ozone since it was really beautiful, and we had a private driver to chauffeur us around.
You’ll find yourself stepping into a fairytale wonderland the moment you enter the premises. This spectacular and grand white castle towering above me is a perfect spot for your Instagram photos. My brother even brought a drone and he captured some amazing videos!
There are quite a few other spots for iconic Instagram shots such as the back of the castle and at the garden. Although the garden fell short as compared to other tourist attractions like Primo Piazza and The Bloom, it was nevertheless a beautiful place for photos.
The lobby was really grand – adorned with refined marble and gold furnishings, it reminded me of a Victorian palace. Whether you’re traveling as a couple, family or in big group of friends, My Ozone has different room types for you.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa which was really huge and spacious! We had the entire place to ourselves with zero disturbance.
As the distance is slightly far away from the reception, we called for a buggy service every morning. The buggy might take quite a while, so you have to buffer your time a little! Alternatively, if you have a private driver, you can get your driver to pick you up directly as well!
There was a little surprise at the backyard, which was a private garden pool! We didn’t prepare any swimming clothes though! What a waste! You can also enjoy the stunning views of the landscape from the garden.
Every room was adorned with luxurious Victorian themed furniture which suited the overall castle theme really well. However, the furnishings are slightly worn out and you cannot compare it to any 5 star hotels. I would say the overall cleanliness is still quite decent as long as you’re not too picky about it.
There was a slight issue as no twin beds were available even upon request, which caused some minor inconvenience as we had a family of 4.
Breakfast is included during the hotel stay and they serve a scrumptious spread of food including noodles, western dishes, different types of eggs, cereal, bread rolls, pancakes, waffles and more! During the peak season, it might be difficult to get seats indoors!
Overall, it was a very pleasant and comfortable stay with a really affordable price. One of my bucket lists is to actually stay at My Ozone and I managed to strike this off!
