Review | Legend Fight Sports Boxing School and my boxing journey

I’ve been attending Legend Fight Sports boxing school for almost two months now and honestly I’ve been loving this school so much I kinda considered gatekeeping this… because more students = more crowded during class (whoop..) But they are really nice people, so I couldn’t help but write this review about my thoughts.

Just some context, I have a little boxing experience but my skills were not refined and I was more used to fun sparring rather than proper foundation and technique learning. So after a small turning point in life, I decided to take on professional boxing lessons as I fell in love with the sport in the past year. I liked how I was able to keep fit without doing boring cardio exercises which I hated. I really wanted to find a place where I can pick up boxing without having to travel so far. I was super glad to find Legend as they have a branch at Tampines which is just 2 bus stops away from where I live!

I downloaded their app and went for their first trial. They were also very responsive and helpful with my enquiries too! I didn’t even think twice and signed up for a 1-month membership ($250/month), I didn’t pay for the 6-months or 1-year at this point just to make sure that I can really commit first. Subsequently, I paid for the 6-months at $220/ month and can attend unlimited classes.

Boxing Lesson

There are multiple timings per day and the lessons will swap around ranging from Boxing Fundamentals, Boxing School, Padwork Class to 12 rounds, etc. There is no fixed coach for each lesson so you can freely book any classes that you like. Each class is 45 minutes to an hour but you can also book back-to-back classes if you like.

You can book your classes through the mobile app which is very user-friendly. I think it is really convenient to just confirm or cancel classes through a few clicks.

For the tampines branch, there are a few punching bags and a boxing ring, overall it felt quite spacious.

Even though the classes are held in groups, the coaches tend to remember each individual progress (which I feel is really great). I was previously slightly concerned that there won’t be much learning progress if the coach constantly has to attend to so many people. But I was impressed that they really remember what I have or have not learnt, and they will also target my flaws and mistakes for improvement.

I love how flexible they are in assisting me with pausing my membership during my travel or injuries period. And I think this is really awesome because I would feel quite sad if I have wasted certain days not being able to attend classes.

Thank you Legend Fight Sports!!!
