Sephora Korean Beauty Review Part 2

Sponsored Review:

From my previous post, I shared reviews of some of the products Sephora kindly sent me! I’m back for more again! And guess what? This review includes my TOP PICK (Yes, I manage to pick 1 specific out of the whole lot).

Erborian CC Creme (PERSONAL FAVOURITE)

Retail Price: $29

First Impression: I have to admit I wasn’t impressed with the packaging when I received it at the start. It comes in a silver tube exterior which has the looks of an ordinary lotion. Never judge a book by its cover because I fell in love right after.

Review: I usually put on CC cream to work as I prefer a very light coverage just to even out my skin tone. Some of the CC cream I have used actually made my skin way fairer than it should be, and I didn’t really like it that way.

When I apply and blend the Erborian CC creme onto my skin, it changes from the original white colour to a pink-beige tone, which gives a radiant and natural blush to my skin tone. If you’re lazy or just don’t really want to put on so much make up that day, just skip the blusher. Although the CC cream works better than other brands, the cream is very light on my skin, and doesn’t clog up my pores. It looks quite natural as well, which makes it a good product for daily application to work.

For such an affordable price, I think it’s a great steal! I still prefer this over any foundation that I have tried on.

Shu Uemura Fresh Cushion Blush

Retail Price: $48

First Impression: Shu Uemura Fresh Cushion Blush has a cute and funky exterior design with girly pink and purple prints.  Quite a cute product!

Review: With all the cushion applicator products in the market, I find myself using less powdered blushes as it is usually cakeier and also not as lasting. I like how this product has a light tone and I can easily blend out onto my skin. The only downside is that I am not a fan of this pink shade (Hibiscus Pink – inspired by Korea’s national flower). Personally, I prefer the coral pink shades which have more vibrant and rosy looks. I guess the colour just doesn’t suit my skin colour. But I would love to try the other shade!

Sephora Collection Wonderful Cushion Matte Lip Cream

Retail Price: $16

First Impression: It has a cute tube-like packaging with a round sponge for application. There’s a small hole in the center so just give a light squeeze before applying to your lips, and the sponge will blend it out for you to prevent the colour from coming out too harshly.

Review: The Sephora Wonderful Cushion Matte cream come in handy on days that I wish put in more effort in my dressing because of its highly pigmented colour. I used to avoid matte lip products as the colours tend to be overwhelming. I like how this product is buildable and easy to blend, I even tried doing ombre effect by lining the inner part of my lips and slowly blending the colours out – making it seems like I’m wearing a two-toned lipstick. I hardly had to touch up after applying the Sephora Cushion matte cream as it is quite long-lasting even after my meals.  With the cushion applicator, it’s convenient to apply when I’m outside; my only concern is the hygiene of the sponge though.

As the cushion sponge is round, it may be a little challenging to apply on the inner corners of the lips. But overall, it’s still a fairly good product that I would like to continue using. It can actually go redder than this, but I prefer to keep it this way!

That’s all for now!

Thanks for reading! ♥
