When it comes to Japanese food cravings, I tend to try my best to dine at restaurants. There are two main concerns when I order sushi delivery online. Will it still be fresh? Are the prices super marked up? Ever since I’ve been rotting at home from Circuit Breaker till now, I find myself scrolling on food delivery apps for the best sushi choices. It’s usually a disappointment because prices are either too high, or the delivery fee is just out of my budget.
Thankfully, Sushi Delivery Singapore is here to ease my worries and satisfy my forever cravings for Sushi, as they provide one of the best premium quality sushi and sashimi deliveries in Singapore! (Voted by Best in Singapore)
This is the second time I’ve tasted their sushi, and I’m still loving it!
In total, this sumptuous feast costs about $60~, which is quite reasonable and more than enough for 2 pax. We had some leftovers for dinner too.
The sushi were delivered fresh and I appreciated that there were ice packs beneath the cold dishes to preserve the freshness of the Chuka Idako and Chuka Kurage.
After I settled down all the food, I immediately aimed for the fried oyster! Although the oyster is still crispy, I preferred to heat it up a little with my airfryer for that extra crisp. The oyster was legit juicy, not even kidding. This is slightly embarrassing but the juice actually squirted out onto my table when I bit onto the remaining half piece. Thank god I wasn’t with any guests!
For the Maki, we had the Avocado Maki, Salmon Aburi Maki and Samurai Unagi Aburi Maki, which were all really impressive.
The fragrant seared Unagi (eel) was topped with a small slice of cheddar cheese and finished off with mentaiko sauce, giving it a creamy and well-balanced flavour. It’s surprising how a small addition of simple ingredients like these can level up the taste significantly. Unagi is not something I fancy a lot but I was slowly savouring every piece I could.
The Avocado Maki was fresh and decadent with generous toppings of sweet tobiko and Japanese mayonnaise. Avocado is one of the best complements to sushi with its creamy texture. Even without the premium ingredients, this was a pleasant delight to munch on! The refreshing cucumber also gave it a good crunch.
Almost anything with Mentaiko works pretty well for me! The seared salmon almost had a melt-in-the-mouth feel and a slightly charred taste which was pretty addictive. However, I still preferred the Cream Cheese Mentaiko Salmon Aburi which was a lot more fragrant in my opinion.
