Preventing Maskne | Savewo 3D Disposable Medical Mask Review

This famous term ‘Maskne’ has been sprouting everywhere on online advertisements and articles these days.

I personally experienced some breakouts on my face after wearing face masks. For those with acne-prone or sensitive skin, wearing face masks for long hours daily will potentially result in clogged pores caused by accumulation of oil, sweat or makeup on your pores.

While we’re trying to protect our health in this pandemic crisis, our skin has unfortunately been compromised! And not forgetting, it can be really uncomfortable to be drenched in sweat and oil under the mask during hot weather.

Savewo 3D Masks might be your ultimate solution!

About Savewo Mask

Manufactured with a Type.Cool material and stylish 3D design for higher breathability, you can expect better airflow and comfort when wearing the mask for longer hours.

Aside from the comfort level, the protection is not compromised as well. The mask has gone through several professional laboratories tests – Bacteria Filtration Efficiency (BFE) of >99.9%, Particle Filtration Efficiency (PFE) of >99.9% @0.1µm and Virus Filtration Efficiency (VFE) > 99.9%. The material used is also latex-free and anti-allergic, which is great for those with sensitive skin.

Personal Thoughts:

First of all, I am absolutely in LOVE with this pastel shade of pink. Wearing white masks tends to dampen my mood in dressing up, so I’m really pleased that this mask series come in 6 different colours!

Putting colours aside, the practicality of this mask is super on point. Due to the 3d design, there is minimal contact between my face and the mask. Prior to using the Savewo mask, I am always tempted to scratch my nose and face due to the fibre which triggered my sensitivity. Not only am I able to breathe with ease after switching over to this brand, I have found that my maskne (acne) have considerably reduced too!

Bonus point: The Savewo mask has two flaps on the side so that the inner layer of the mask can be protected when you’re not wearing it. I think this is a very thoughtful design especially for those who are too lazy to use a mask case.

Here’s a comparison of the Savewo mask vs normal disposable surgical mask after wearing makeup for a few hours. Although my makeup is quite light, there’s a drastic difference on the makeup stain. Can you imagine putting your face against all those stained makeup on the mask after a meal? Eww gross.

While there are many other alternatives such as government-issued resusable masks and customisable masks in the market, there is not one brand that has all 3 benefits in one – 3D shape for better comfort, pretty pastel colours and protection from the virus

True that some of the masks found online has even more interesting designs and patterns, but do beware as some of the materials may not be from a trusted source. This may cause skin complications or perhaps not be able to protect you from the virus completely.

The Savewo 3D Disposable Medical Mask comes in the following sizes:
