After my first visit to FFL.sg (Friends Fur Life) which I’ve written about my experience HERE, I’m so happy to say that we have reserved a pup which will be arriving in late November! Things are not 100% confirmed at the moment as we only confirm the puppy during the face to face viewing. I think it’s important to confirm that we feel a connection with the puppy too! Just like how I fell in love with Muffin and Cookie the first time I met them.
Right now, we have reserved a Sable Male Cavapoo. Was kinda torn between picking a black and sable colour. Sable colours are very pretty but I don’t really fancy the idea of having a surprise with the final colour of his fur, though I know that we’re still gonna love him the same. I just cannot wait for his arrival.

We chose a Cavapoo for a few reasons:
1) Preferred poodle breeds as they are mostly hypoallergenic and does not shed a lot (But there’s no guarantee as it’s 50% Cavalier and 50% Poodle)
2) They are known to be friendly, loving and affectionate. Poodle breeds are very intelligent and are relatively easier to train.
3) Personally, I prefer the looks of a Maltipoo, but R’s family had a Maltipoo and he prefers to have something different. In fact, it took me awhile to even psycho him to get a mixed poodle breed.
4) They look generally really cute – like a fluffy teddy bear. I prefer maltipoos as they are smaller but cavapoo sizes are acceptable to me too.
It’s been a short span of a few weeks since we’ve decided to get a puppy. Being someone who is kiasu and needs to get prepared in advance, I have managed to settle 80% of the puppy’s needs 2 months before its arrival.
I think I will be sharing this in another post soon!
To be honest, I am beyond excited for the puppy’s arrival. Having Muffin & Cookies (Guinea pigs) gave me so much love, and taking care of them didn’t feel like a chore or burden. They never fail to put a smile on my face whenever I return home. As much I love them a lot, they don’t respond to owners like dogs. Mostly, they only care whether there’s food or treats for them. Having a puppy would be able to fill this gap and I’m sure that we can give him the same love and commitment for a lifetime.
Counting down to 2 more months! And you can probably expect more of such posts soon!
I’ve received some DMs asking me about FFL, so if you’re keen to know about my experience, DM me on Facebook and I’m happy to share more!
