Work-Friendly Cafe Series | Bread & Hearth at Katong V

I chanced upon this cafe the other time when I went to Katong V for lunch, and thought it was quite spacious and conducive for doing work, so I decided to give it a try while putting Kuro at daycare (5 min drive away).

There were a lot of tables available so I didn’t have to worry about hogging the seats while doing my work. On top of that, I do prefer open seating layouts as it tends to be more spacious and less noisy. However, there were very limited tables with socket – only about 2 in total.

While Bread and Hearth is specialised in artisanal bread, I ordered their Mid Wings ($9.9) instead as I was actually craving for something savoury and sinful. The crispiness was perfect, and the wings were juicy and succulent. Only the taste fell short by a little as it felt like only the skin was coated with the spice and the meat wasn’t as flavourful as expected. But overall, the size and portion was quite reasonable and honestly I wouldn’t mind ordering it again if I’m craving for some fried chicken again.

The Iced Hazelnut Latte ($7.5) was nothing memorable, though I have no complaints as well. The portion was quite reasonable, as I had some which were really small and not enough to last a couple of hours.
