Good coffees are not easy to find, and it’s even rarer to chance upon a good and affordable cup of coffee to brighten up your weekday blues.
Sitting in the heart of Tanjong Pagar, Flash Coffee is a new wave coffee shop that has been rapidly growing across South East Asia, and has recently opened its doors in Singapore.
Coffee lovers working around the CBD area will be rejoiced to enjoy good quality coffees and even non-caffeine drinks at affordable prices.
I used to spend about $7-8 on a cup of coffee at work on a regular basis, but it can be quite straining to my pocket in the long run. Though I’m not an avid coffee drinker and can’t tell between the different type of beans, I still can differentiate a good and bad coffee at the minimal. Unfortunately, some good coffees are just too bitter for my palate, so I tend to just settle for the sweetened ones.
Despite the really affordable prices starting from $2.8 for a cup of coffee, they still didn’t compromise on the quality or extensive menu choices. Yes, $2.8! I was very surprised! The premium flavours are slightly more expensive but still kept at a really affordable price range.
I’m so excited that they will be opening new retail stores at Changi City Point soon, which means that I will be able to get my caffeine fix at reasonable prices. And hopefully through delivery apps like FoodPanda and Grab too!
On top of their signature blends, some of my personal favourites include Melaka Latte, Nutella Latte and Macadamia Latte. These flavours are not commonly found elsewhere and it’s the first time I’ve actually heard of Macadamia Latte in Singapore. It tasted exactly like the nuts in a liquid version instead of the syrup flavouring kinds. The melaka and nutella lattes also had the right amount of sweetness, and a far cry from the usual nutella and gula melaka desserts.
If you’re adventurous with unique and interesting flavours, do try out the Lemon or Lychee Espresso Soda which are very refreshing.
