The Acai Lab | Voted as 1 of the Best Acai Deliveries by Best in Singapore

For someone who’s such a die-hard junk food lover, one who will never think twice about drinking the soup from a bowl of laksa or munching down fried chicken skin – I never thought I’d fall in love with something so healthy. Ever since I had my virgin taste of Acai, I haven’t stopped loving it. If any, my love for it grew stronger, and it’s the perfect replacement for ice-cream or cold dessert cravings. I had a chance to try out one of the best Acai bowl deliveries recommended by Best in Singapore, and I was real excited for it!

People like you and I are always looking out for the best deals, and Best In Singapore uncovers some of the best restaurants, shops and places in Singapore!

The Acai Lab

More than just the usual pure Acai blend, their PurpleBlend Acai base contains multiple premium purple superfoods that are imported daily from private and organic plantations to ensure the best quality. For extra creaminess and volume, they have also added bananas and almond milk. And they are vegan friendly as well!

60% Pure Acai Puree

20% Purple Superfoods – Blueberries, Strawberries, Elderberries, Cranberries, Figs

10% Creamy Base – Banana

10% Liquid Base – Vegan Milk

Acai Lab currently offers 5 specialty bowls – Signature Acai Bowl, Berry Berries, Fruity Delight, Nutty Nature, and Tropical Acai. I ordered everything except the Berry Berries for my family and I.

One will probably not go wrong with the signature bowl, but I found myself steering towards the Nutty Nature – A mix of different dried fruits, berries and nuts, fresh cut kiwis and bananas, and topped with blueberries for a tangy garnish. While I don’t fancy the dried fruits a lot because it tends to stick to my teeth, this was packed with a punch and surprisingly my favourite! The nuts added a great flavour and texture to the creamy Acai blend.

I don’t really have a specific Acai type that I particularly enjoy, but I think that this is great! It has a nice sweet and tangy balance. The toppings were quite generous, and I also appreciated that this was served in a bowl rather than a cup, which was a lot easier to eat from.

If you are looking to enjoy a mini “getaway”, savour the Tropical inspired flavours from the Tropical Acai with Pineapple, Banana, Mango, Raisin, Coconut Flakes, Walnut, Cranberries, Chia Seed. The Chia seed pudding was very creamy and decadent, adding a nice flavour to the refreshing bowl.

If you’re a berries lover, get your hands on the Berry Berries, literally loaded with everything BERRIES. You’ll be in a for a little surprise as the based is made with their special Mango-acai blend, for an extra tangy goodness.

Pro-tip:

The Acai Lab packs the order with ice packs, which is a really nice gesture to keep the Acai bowls cooling. But it’s still not comparable to a freezer. So here’s the best way to enjoy the Acai if you prefer a less mushy texture. I popped it in the freezer for about 10 minutes before consuming and it has this perfect ‘sorbet’ texture. But then again, it’s entirely up to you!

If you can’t find anything you like from their specialty menu, you can customise your Acai bowl starting from $10.80 per bowl. Simply select your base size, select your toppings and top it off with a drizzle.

Acai pints are also available for sale so that you can enjoy Acai anytime and anywhere! This is a more budget-friendly option especially if you already have the toppings or fruits at home. On top of that, you can even blend your own Acai smoothie drink!
